Reiki Practitioner Training & Certification

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the belief that there is a Universal life force energy that flows through all that is. In fact, the name Reiki itself is formed from two Japanese words that translate as “spiritually guided universal life energy”.

It is this life force energy that a Reiki practitioner connects to and then transfers to a client through his or her hands, with or without direct touch. This energy clears, realigns, balances and grounds the client’s energy system (chakras, meridians, and aura), promoting health and well-being as well as stress reduction and relaxation.

Reiki is not a religion and works with any spiritual belief system. It is beneficial on its own, yet is complementary to traditional medical treatments and therapies, as well as any other healing modality. It is a simple yet powerful technique.

Anyone can receive Reiki, and anyone can learn it. However, to become a practitioner, a Reiki Master/Teacher must attune you during a training workshop.

There are four levels or degrees of Reiki certification. Both First Degree and Second Degree Reiki Practitioners may conduct Reiki on themselves, others, plants, and animals. However, Second Degree Reiki Practitioners may also conduct distant Reiki sessions. Third Degree Reiki Practitioners are considered Reiki Masters, while Fourth Degree Reiki Practitioners are Reiki Master/Teachers.

Usui/Tibetan Reiki Level I (First Degree Practitioner): $297

In this Level I Workshop, students will review the basic human energy and chakra system. You will learn the Reiki power symbol, how to use it, and the traditional Reiki hand positions. You will give Reiki to each other, and practice conducting a Reiki session to gain the confidence, knowledge and ability to perform Reiki on yourselves, others, animals, and plants. You will again practice giving Reiki to each other, and practice a distant session, while gaining confidence in the proper use of the newly learned symbols. Upon successful completion, you will receive the Level II attunement and initiation as a Second Degree Usui/Tibetan Reiki Practitioner.
